What we collect
Account: your name, email address and a hashed password, plus your subscription status.
What you submit: Help Board requests and messages, expert profiles and reviews, and résumé content you enter in the résumé tools.
Payments: handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers; we keep the Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
Books on Leanpub: book purchases happen on leanpub.com under Leanpub’s privacy policy. We see sales totals and coupon use, not your payment details.
Cookies and similar storage
asg_session — keeps you logged in. Necessary.
mq_campaign — remembers which link (UTM campaign) first brought you here, for 30 days.
Browser storage for your theme, font size, reading position, and your cookie choice.
Google Analytics (_ga cookies) — counts visits and which pages are read.
Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc cookies) — tells Meta (Facebook, Instagram) about visits, Leanpub link clicks, sign-ups and subscription checkouts, so we can measure and target our ads there. Visitors in Europe are asked first and the pixel does not load unless they accept; everyone can turn it off with .
Who we share data with
Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), which store and serve the site and your account.
Stripe (payments) and Amazon SES (account and notification emails).
Google (Analytics) and Meta (Pixel), as described above.
When you subscribe and the Meta Pixel was allowed in your browser, our server also reports the subscription to Meta with the pixel’s browser ID, your IP address and browser type — never your name, email or card.
We don’t sell your data.
