- Take your team's most recent test plan. Evaluate it against the "why test plans go unread" table. What could be improved?
- Write a one-page sprint test plan for your current sprint using the template above.
- Compare your current test plan format to the IEEE 829 structure. Which sections are you missing that might add value? Which IEEE 829 sections would be overkill?
- Create a test strategy document for your product that covers the next 6 months. Focus on the 5 key questions: what, what not, how, risks, and done criteria.
